What is Empowered4Change?
Empowered4Change marks the beginning of the next phase of Fellowship of the Parks. Through the resources raised during this project, we hope to expand each of our three campuses and increase the church’s overall capacity for ministry. Because of this, we are asking everyone to make a one-time initial contribution followed by a three-year pledge to help us achieve our goals and respond to God’s calling for Fellowship of the Parks. This is not simply about building larger facilities; this is ultimately about seeing lives changed.

The goals of Empowered4Change are:
  1. To increase the value of intentional relationships in our community.
  2. To strengthen our church's emphasis on prayer, asking God that we would grow and change through increased obedience of generosity.
  3. To provide the necessary resources to expand the capacity of Fellowship of the Parks by constructing a larger auditorium in Keller and a permanent campus in Grapevine. This effort will also provide funds to service the existing loan for our new facility in Haslet and the design of the future expansion for that campus.
Empowered4Change FAQs:
What is our financial goal for E4C?
Our goal for Empowered4Change is to raise $3.2 million.

Why build now? Why not wait?
There are spiritual and practical sides to this question. On the spiritual side, we want to see more lives changed for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the amount of space that we currently have available to us is not enough to match the amount of growth that we are capable of. This also allows our current members to step out in faith. Faith is a God-led, Kingdom-based risk. On the practical side, construction and financing costs are currently low. Our desire is to reach more people, and responsible financing is a legitimate way to provide space for people.

Should we be starting this project in this economy?
The current economic landscape provides a greater opportunity for God to reveal Himself through His people. Also, as mentioned in the previous question, costs are currently lower than they have been in years past.

Why are we taking on debt?
As a church, we handle finances like any healthy household. We never want to accumulate consumer debt, but we do have a reasonable mortgage.

How soon will construction begin?
Our goal is to begin construction on the new projects in 2012. The official start date depends on three factors: 1) the financial commitment made through E4C, 2) the cost of construction, and 3) the lending.

Why is it important for the church to provide more seats when there lots of churches in our community already?
Statistically, every church in our community could be filled multiple times over and still not reach every person.

Why do I need to make a pledge for E4C?
Not only can pledging be an act of spiritual discipline, but it will also be a helpful tool for financial planning and show that we can repay the loan needed to cover the cost of the project.

What happens if I am unable to fulfill my pledge?
Pledging is an estimate of giving and sometimes situations may prevent one person from fulfilling their full pledge, while other events may allow others to increase their pledge.

Is this gift/pledge in addition to my tithes and offerings?
Yes, this gift is an additional sacrificial gift that will be designated to the purpose and goals of this campaign.

How will the E4C money be used?
Construction costs and paying down principle. Look around this site to see our goals for each of our three church campuses.
